Compressor Nebulizer

Compressor nebulizers are commonly used to deliver medication for respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and cystic fibrosis. They can deliver a variety of medications including bronchodilators, corticosteroids, and antibiotics.

A compressor nebulizer consists of a small air compressor that is connected to a nebulizer cup via tubing. The nebulizer cup contains the medication and a small air compressor forces compressed air through the tubing into the nebulizer cup, which converts the medication into a mist.

One of the advantages of compressor nebulizers is that they can deliver medication quickly and efficiently to the lungs. They are also relatively easy to use and require minimal coordination and effort from the patient.
